Do you provide jewelry CAD design services for US clients?
Yes. We work remotely with jewelry brands, designers, manufacturers, and independent jewelers across the United States. CAD design, revisions, rendering, and final file delivery can all be handled online.
What does "jewelry product manager" actually mean in practice?
It means you stop managing me and I start managing the product side for you. Every month we have a 30-minute call where we align on what to build. I then own everything from there — briefing, CAD, renders, and delivery — tracked against your launch calendar. You review, approve, and upload to Shopify. That’s your entire product involvement. Everything else is on me.
What file formats do you deliver?
Every design ships with STL (for 3D printing and casting), 3DM (Rhino native — fully editable), and OBJ. Renders are delivered at 2000×2000px minimum on white background, plus lifestyle-style renders and 1:1 crops for Instagram. Everything is upload-ready on arrival.
Are your 3D models actually production-ready or will my caster need to fix them?
Production-ready is our non-negotiable standard. Every file is checked for minimum wall thickness (≥0.7mm), correct prong geometry, zero open meshes, and casting-safe dimensions before delivery. We’ve worked with dozens of casting houses and know exactly what they need. If your caster flags anything, we fix it at no charge.
How does the free first CAD design work?
Send us your sketch, reference image, or written description. We create the full 3D model and render pack — completely free. If you love it, we discuss how to work together going forward. If not, you keep the render, owe us nothing, and we part without awkwardness. This is how we earn trust before asking for your business.
I already have a jewelry CAD designer. Why would I need you?
If your current designer also runs your collection planning, owns your launch calendar, tells you what to build next, and delivers Shopify-ready render packs — keep them, they’re rare. If they just deliver files when you send briefs, there’s a gap between design execution and product management that I fill. Many clients run both — their existing designer for production overflow, and me for the strategic product layer.
What happens if I'm not satisfied?
Unlimited revisions until you are. If after all revisions you’re still not happy, we refund your deposit in full — no questions, no arguments. For retainer clients: if a collection misses a launch date due to anything on our side, the following month is on us. We have never had to honour either clause. But they exist.
Can you manufacture the physical pieces too?
Yes — for clients wanting end-to-end service, we offer full manufacturing: casting, stone setting, polishing, and international DHL shipping (shipping fees apply). Silver pieces from $200. Gold pieces quoted individually. This is especially popular with clients who don’t have an established casting house relationship yet.
Do you offer white-label services?
Absolutely. No MyCadGuy branding on any file, render, or communication. Your clients never know we exist. This is the default for our local jewelry store clients and many ecommerce brands who prefer to keep their production process private.
